FlowLabs is a specialized male fertility diagnostic lab supporting clinicians across Ontario with comprehensive semen analysis, advanced sperm testing, and clear reporting designed to inform patient care.
Our team works with a variety of practitioners who want deeper insight into male-factor infertility and more accessible testing pathways for their patients.
FlowLabs is led, backed, and owned by physicians and researchers at the forefront of male reproductive health. Their clinical and research expertise ensures every test meets the highest standards of accuracy and care.
An internationally recognized leader in male infertility, Dr. Jarvi is the Director of the Murray Koffler Urologic Wellness Centre and Head of Urology at Mount Sinai Hospital, and a Professor of Surgery and director of the Male Infertility Program at the University of Toronto.
A highly experienced male fertility researcher and educator, Dr. Abolhassani previously served as an Associate Professor of Embryology and Anatomy at Tehran University for over 20 years, where he led the embryology division, taught advanced embryology, and published more than forty research articles focused on male infertility.
We partner with clinicians and practitioners involved in fertility, preconception, reproductive health, and men’s health care, including:
Whether you are ordering first-line testing or looking for deeper diagnostic insight, FlowLabs can support your patients with specialized male fertility analysis.
FlowLabs focuses exclusively on male fertility testing and is led by medical professionals whose ongoing research advances how male fertility is measured, understood, and treated.
We use the most technologically advanced testing available, backed up by comprehensive quality standards, ISO 15189+ accreditation, and licensing. Our tests go beyond basic parameters and include factors that other commercial labs do not. For example, our semen analysis test evaluates morphology by default and we are the only commercial lab that tests for ASA.
Our turnaround time affords you the time you need to choose the best course of treatment for your patients, and our reports are designed to be comprehensive, supporting clinical interpretation and next steps and helping you guide patient care.
With on-site appointments, drop-off options, and a mail-in semen analysis kit available across Canada, FlowLabs’ mission is to reduce geographic and logistical barriers to male fertility testing.
FlowLabs supports clinicians through education, research, and practical resources related to male fertility diagnostics.
Our Lunch & Learns feature case-based education and discussions around advanced testing, showcasing the collaboration between medical practitioners in optimizing fertility outcomes for patients. Interested in having us present to your clinic or team?

Once a sample arrives at the lab, results are typically sent to clinicians (and patients, if they have registered for MyChart) within the following timeframes:
For semen analysis, samples must be delivered within a certain timeframe and kept within a specific temperature range, as temperature changes can impact test results and may cause a sample to be rejected.
For DFI and sperm aneuploidy testing, samples must meet certain volume and concentration criteria to be tested. For DFI testing, any sample with a concentration under 1M/mL must be rejected. Volume is dependent upon concentration. We are actively working on a new process for low concentration samples.
